What is FIX?

FIX, an acronym that stands for Financial Information eXchange, is an open protocol that allows financial institutions such as banks, broker-dealers, exchanges and institutional investors to conduct trade communications electronically. FIX creates a common global language for the automated trading of equities, derivatives and other asset classes.

Tradeware Global has been a standard-bearer of the FIX protocol since the company's inception in 1993. Today, FIX has grown into the predominant messaging standard for communication between institutional investors to brokers, accounting for more than 80% of the total order volume. Internationally, where the electronic trading revolution is only just emerging, Tradeware Global's solutions-oriented approach and expertise make us the ideal technology partner for FIX compliant cross-border settlement and exchange services. Tradeware Global's patented business process is the first broker-neutral multi-market, multi-currency solution to deliver complete Straight-Through Processing of securities transactions, bringing the efficiencies of a domestic transaction to the international market.
